Instructions
Place the chicken breasts in a single layer at the bottom of the slow cooker.
Sprinkle the dry ranch seasoning mix evenly over the chicken. Place the softened block of cream cheese directly on top.
Cover and cook on low for 6–8 hours or on high for 3–4 hours until the chicken is tender and fully cooked.
Using two forks, shred the chicken directly inside the slow cooker. The chicken should fall apart easily.
Stir the shredded chicken, melted cream cheese, and cooking juices together until the mixture becomes creamy and well combined.
Add the shredded cheddar cheese and most of the crumbled turkey bacon, reserving some for topping. Stir until the cheese melts and the mixture becomes rich and gooey.
Serve the creamy ranch chicken warm on buns, over rice, or with your favorite sides. Top with the remaining crumbled turkey bacon and sliced green onions if desired.
Notes
For the best flavor and texture, use full-fat block cream cheese rather than whipped or spreadable varieties. If the mixture becomes too thick after adding the cheese, thin it with a tablespoon or two of milk or chicken broth. Freshly cooked turkey bacon provides the best flavor, but pre-cooked crumbles can also be used for convenience.
