Instructions
Step 1: Drain mozzarella and pat completely dry on paper towels to remove excess moisture.
Step 2: Lay prosciutto slices on a cutting board and cut lengthwise if needed into thin strips.
Step 3: Wrap one strip of prosciutto snugly around each mozzarella ball and tuck ends underneath. Repeat for all balls.
Step 4: Heat olive oil in a large non-stick skillet over medium heat.
Step 5: Place wrapped mozzarella seam-side down in skillet. Cook 1-2 minutes per side until prosciutto is golden brown and crisp. Work in batches if necessary.
Step 6: Transfer bites to a platter, sprinkle with freshly ground black pepper, and optionally drizzle with balsamic glaze and garnish with basil. Serve warm immediately.
Notes
Watch bites closely to avoid overcooking; cheese should be soft but not fully melted out. Best served immediately while warm. Non-stick skillet recommended.
